The School of Law at Queen Mary, University of London has consistently been ranked in the top 10 in the UK for research. Members of the School are actively involved in public affairs in the United Kingdom, European institutions and international bodies. Postgraduate teaching is conducted in Lincoln's Inn Fields in the hearth of London's legal community.
The School is able to offer financial support to excellent applicants to a number of our programs. These awards are highly competitive and are available for applicants wishing to commence study in the academic year 2009 - 2010.
MPhil/PhD
The School of Law is offering 7 Studentships for the 2009 - 2010 academic year, covering all tuition fees (home/EU or overseas level) and providing a maintenance grant at research council rates of at least £ 14,900 per year (reviewed annually). These awards are available to support research in any topic within the discipline. However, this year, the Department of Law is particularly keen to support Studentship applications in the following areas :

- Medical Law & Ethics
- Public Law, Corporate Law & Tax Law
Response to the Financial Crisis
- Lex Specialist and Insolvency Law
- Regulation & Arbitration
- International Tax and Developmaent
